Community Partnership: I Run for the Gospel

For the past several years, October and November have always been important times of fellowship, charity, and connection for this growing community. With Breast Cancer Awareness in October and Thanksigiving in November, we’ve repeatedly had community members come together to raise funds, have meaningful discussions, and give one another support.

And in the past year, since Shalom Circles was formalized, we’ve been motivated to use these kinds of events and holidays to parter and collaborate with other groups to have a positive impact on local communities and people in need.

This month, Shalom Circles is partnering with Carolina Road Runner Club (CRRC) to encourage our community members to participate in the CRRC virtual walk: I Run for the Gospel.

We can use this opportunity to stay active, encourage one another, and raise funds ” to provide hope to those struggling, financially, emotionally, and spiritually” through November and December 2021.

During this time, we will commit to doing our part and walking or running for the gospel. If you would like to particpate with us, you can register with CRRC for $30 and receive a t-shirt. Shalom Circles will be having a virtual walk on Saturday, November 27, 2021 on Zoom at 10:00 AM ET. (Contact via website for more information)

We encourage everyone to not only particpate in the virtual walk but to also use this campaign as a reminder to take time for personal devotion and quiet reflection and start or end the day by “Running for the Gospel.” Make sure to encourage friends and familly to be a part of the walk, which will be going on through the end of the year.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
